Twenty weeks to save 2020 virtual tour

From May 2020 to the eve of Election Day, our virtual tour campaign provided live-streamed screenings and customized panel discussions to non-profit organizations, building powerful coalitions.  These events were designed as dynamic tools for organizations to share resources and engage, educate, and empower citizens to action around Election Protection and Get-Out-The-Vote efforts nationwide. With the goals to Engage, Educate, Empower and Activate, we leveraged the film to support campus Get Out The Vote efforts, pro-democracy volunteerism and civic engagement though partnerships with campus groups and local grassroots organizations in advance of the 2018 midterm elections. Using screenings of Capturing The Flag to catalyze larger conversations around voting, civil rights, election reform, fair redistricting and the importance of college students’ participation in the 2020 census, our #CaptureTheCampus tour brought the film, its filmmakers and its subjects to college campuses around the country to engage directly with students.
